Global news platform The Economist, with in-depth analysis of business, finance, politics, science, technology, economics and more, is now accessible in WAYF, due to eduGAIN.
Consequently, Danish research and educational institutions participating in WAYF that are Economist customers now have the ability to let their users access the platform using their common institutional logins – without each institution having to do any technical integration. In addition, each Economist customer institution, thanks to WAYF, won't be spending resources to maintain a dedicated technical connection to Economist – while their staff and students still achieve browser single sign-on with any other web service they access through the institution's login system.
This option of integrating with The Economist's platform effortlessly was created through the international collaboration, eduGAIN — where WAYF has enabled users with accounts at WAYF’s institutions to access The Economist in our British sibling federation, UK Access Management Federation for Education and Research. Copenhagen Business School is the first institution to utilise the option of effortless access to The Economist. All an institution wanting to utilise the option must do is reach out to its contact at The Economist and make the request.
