It does have a visible impact on WAYF's login traffic statistics that Denmark's research and higher-education sector has seen increasing online working in recent weeks.
Before the COVID19 Crisis, a regular morning would see a good 300 logins a minute, and a good 17,000 logins an hour, on average. A level usually decreasing over the day.
But during these Corona weeks, we're seeing, on a weekday, a good 450 logins a minute, and a good 21,000 an hour. And, rather sensationally, far less of a traffic level decrease over the day.
The phenomenon, however, is only visible if you actually inspect WAYF's login traffic logs: our technical infrastructure is unaffected by the increased login traffic, and can easily handle ten times the load met with these weeks.
