The University of Copenhagen this week became the fifth Danish user organisation to declare itself compliant with SIRTFI, a protocol for handling security incidents involving federated identity. Holders of accounts at the University thus now have the ability to identify as such vis-à-vis service providers – e.g., Swiss CERN – that accept federated identities only from SIRTFI-compliant organisations.
Previously, Danish universities DTU, SDU, CBS, and AU have implemented SIRTFI and declared compliance with the protocol. Their SIRTFI compliance is visible in the metadata for these organisations published in eduGAIN by WAYF. On the PHPh site you can (by selecting the Sirtfi filter) retrieve a list of entities requiring and complying with SIRTFI, respectively.
